Volunteer/Mentoring

We welcome our esteemed Alumni to be a part of our learning environment. There are so many events and activities that you as an Alumni can be part of. Interested alumni may contact our US Office by calling 1-888-440-4474 for detailed information on how they can volunteer and be part of the academia. Members work on a voluntary basis and do not get paid a salary, but are reimbursed for travel or other incidental expenses.


Admissions Committee Appointments
The Admissions Committee of International American University - College of Medicine invites alumni participation in the admissions process to screen, interview and select qualified applicants to the MD program. Alumni member nominations if approved by the committee will serve for a period of one year and will having voting rights on student applications. Interested alumni may contact the Office of Admissions at 972-919-5158 for more information about this initiative.

Alumni Ambassador Appointments
The Office of Student Services invites alumni participation with mentoring and guiding new student orientation and pre-acceptance counseling of students. Selected alumni will assist the Office of Student Services and Admissions with answering questions from prospective students and share their experiences at IAU. Selected members are reimbursed for travel expenses to participate in admissions information seminars and new student orientation sessions.

Student Mentor Appointments

The Office of Alumni Services invites alumni participation with mentoring and guiding current students with post graduate residency applications and the match process. Selected alumni will mentor final year medical students and offer guidance with the IMG friendly residency programs and preparation for interviews. Interested alumni members may contact the Office of Registrar at 972-484-9700 for more information regarding this initiative.

The Office of Alumni Services also provides assistance with State Licensing information for our graduates in the US and Canada.
