The Clinical Program requires
- successful completion of the Basic Science Program
- USMLE step 1 passing score
- good academic standing
Clinical rotations will be assigned to students by the Clinical Coordinator. As students progress through required rotations, he or she will be interacting with the respective clinical chair and/or proctor for each individual rotation. The instructions will include supervised clinical activities, seminars, and lectures.
Core Rotations (48 weeks)
There are six core rotations which every student will have to complete before they are allowed to take the USMLE Step II. The respective department chairs will oversee the rotation within their discipline. The core rotations are:
- Internal Medicine (12 weeks)
- General Surgery (12 weeks)
- Pediatrics (6 weeks)
- Psychiatry (6 weeks)
- Ob / Gyn. (6 weeks)
- Family Practice (6 weeks)
Total: 48 Weeks
USMLE Step II
Once students have successfully completed the Core Rotations, they become eligible to sit for the UMSLE Step II CK & CS
Elective Rotations (28 weeks)
During the last year of training, students can choose which elective rotations they want to take. 12 weeks must consist of Medical Specialties including 4 weeks of Neurology (mandatory) and 4 weeks must consist of Surgical Specialties and 4 weeks of General Electives. Jackson Park Hospital & Medical Center is a 326-bed acute, short-term comprehensive care facility, serving the south side of Chicago since 1913.
The hospital offers a wide range of inpatient and outpatient diagnostic, therapeutic and ancillary services with a commitment to medical education at all levels. The hospital offers full medical, surgical, obstetric, pediatric, psychiatric, and substance abuse rehabilitation services as well as medical sub-specialties including cardiology, pulmonary, gastrointestinal disease, renal, orthopedics, ENT, ophthalmology, infectious disease, HIV/STD, hematology/oncology and geriatrics. Quality ambulatory care is provided through the family medicine center (FMC), senior health center (SCC) and Korshak center (sub-specialty clinics, including HIV/STD clinics), conveniently located within the same premises.
The emergency department projects approximately 25,000 patient visits annually with full-time attending physician coverage, nurse practitioners, resident physicians and medical students.

Harbor Hospital has grown alongside the community it serves, which includes Baltimore, Anne Arundel, and Howard counties.First established in 1901 as the South Baltimore Eye, Ear and Throat Clinic, the hospital continues to offer the personal touch of a community hospital with the services of a high technology medical center after merging with MedStar Health. MedStar Health is among the top 20 not-for-profit health systems in the country. It consists of community-based hospitals and a wide range of health care services, facilities and primary care centers throughout the Baltimore-Washington area.
In 2006 and 2007, Harbor Hospital was the winner of the Excellence Award for Quality Improvement for Hospitals. Harbor Hospital was designated as a stroke center by MIEMSS and certified as a stroke center by The Joint Commission in 2007.
Harbor Hospital's residency programs have five-year full accreditation with commendation by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education. Harbor's Categorical Internal Medicine residents score in the top ten percent on standardized tests of medical knowledge and are consistent top performers in the city-wide doctors' dilemma competition in Baltimore. The hospital opened in the year 1904 as the Greeley Hospital. The name of the facility evolved over the years to Weld County Hospital and that became North Colorado Medical Center. The Center is operated by Banner Health based out of Phoenix, Arizona. The hospital recently expanded its facilities and added a new addition which expanded its emergency room and increased the amount of rooms available for patients in other departments.
The hospital completed a major expansion in 2005, bringing the number of hospital beds to 398. North Colorado serves as the primary full-service hospital for northern and eastern Colorado, southern Wyoming, western Nebraska and Kansas. North Colorado also has community care clinics in Ault, Eaton, Fort Lupton, Greeley, Johnstown and Windsor.
North Colorado Medical Center is nationally recognized for excellence in many programs such as burn and trauma care and also offer exceptional care for hyperbaric medicine. Its cardiac program was recently recognized as being in the Top 100 in the country. Additionally, the medical center is home to the highest-rated cancer care program in northern Colorado.
Northern Colorado Medical Center offers clinical rotations in Family Medicine, Pediatrics, Surgery, and Obstetrics/Gynecology.

Since its founding in 1901, Atlanta Medical Center (AMC) has been serving the medical needs of the community and the region. The 460-bed tertiary care hospital, which is part of Tenet Georgia, offers specialties in advanced surgery, cardiology, neurology, oncology, women’s health, orthopedics, trauma and rehabilitation. The level II trauma center is supported by aeromedical services providing immediate transportation to critical patients throughout the state.
AMC is accredited by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), the nation’s oldest and largest hospital accreditation agency. The hospital campus also includes a comprehensive cancer center, a Diabetes Metabolic Center, Sheffield HealthCare, a neighborhood community health center, as well as the Wellness Center, which houses the Highland Athletic Club, Atlanta Surgical Weight Loss Center and outpatient rehabilitation program.
