Why IAU
Progressive Curriculum
Based on top US medical schools, our curriculum focuses on problem-based teaching methods and case studies, allowing students to participate actively in the learning process.
Two Year Pre-Medical Program in US University
Students can complete all the required Pre-Medical courses at Texas A&M Commerce in two years. This allows students to complete the entire Pre-Medical + MD program in 6 short years instead of the traditional 8 years.
Low student-to-faculty ratio
Maintaining a low ratio maximizes students' one-on-one time with professors and allows our dedicated faculty to be easily accessible to the students.
Fifth Semester with Integrated USMLE Course
Students complete Introduction to Clinical Medicine in a US hospital and then take a USMLE review course to prepare for Step 1.
Early Patient Exposure
From the second week of classes students begin working with patients at supervised local clinics.
All Clinical Rotations in US Hospitals
Clinical rotations are available at teaching hospitals located in major cities throughout the US

Extensive Preparation for USMLE
IAU students are fully prepared for Step 1 through National Shelf Exams offered by National Board of Medical Examiners (NBME) at the end of each semester in Basic Sciences as well as biweekly exams which are formatted to mirror USMLE.
