A Day with the Special Education Children of Vieux Fort

It was a memorable day last November 14, 2009 as Julissa Placencio headed a worthwhile activity for the Special Education Children of Vieux Fort. While our IAU students volunteered to play and interact with the beautiful kids with special needs, Julissa gave an excellent seminar on proper nutrition to their parents. After the seminar, IAU students also held a clinic so the blood pressure and blood glucose of the participants can be taken. Mrs. Augustine, the head of the Special Education Institution expressed her appreciation for this worthwhile community-based event at IAU. Our congratulations to Julissa and to our kind-hearted IAU students!
